The 29th Historic Vltava Rallye in the Czech Republic saw a nail-biting finish between the no1 Audi quattro of Italian crew of ‘Zippo’ and Denis Piceno and the no3 Porsche 911 SC of Karl Wagner and Gerda Zauner which went down to the final stage of the rally. The battle in Category 2 was also very tight with reigning champions Anders and Ingrid Johnsen in the Porsche 911 RS fending off a late challenge from the two Czech run Opel Kadetts.
