At the FIA, our primary mission is to ensure fairness, equality, and safety across all our racing series. From a technical standpoint, this process is known in particular as Homologation.
To fulfill this mission, we operate a technical centre located in Valleiry, France where our team works around the clock to ensure that all vehicles comply with regulations.
Ahead of Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship we followed the homologation process of the GEN3 Evo race car from the Mahindra Formula E team where we conducted extensive checks on the car, covering a wide range of critical components from the manufacturer perimeter, such as the rear powertrain, its casing, the rear suspension…
Once the Formula E GEN3 Evo race cars are homologated, their hardware is freezed for a two seasons period.
