But his message from Silverstone was not one of resignation. It was one of trust. Trust in the people willing to listen, in those prepared to act, and in the strength of a sporting community that chooses not to look away.
Two weeks after the inaugural UAOA Day, his words feel more relevant than ever. They remind us that our response to online abuse cannot rest on those experiencing it alone. It begins with the people around them.
“We are all united against this cause [online abuse], and we’re going to be trying to solve the problem together. Just remember that you’re not alone.”
