From being a rhino poaching hub in the 1900s, Kaziranga National Park (KNP) in the north-east Indian state of Assam now boasts the single largest breeding population of the Indian rhinos. Foot patrol by anti-poaching units has been the most effective preventative measure to keep the animals safe.
