This is the ili pika. It is a tiny, mountain-dwelling mammal with a teddy bear face. Ili pikas are found in northwestern China and can live at altitudes up to 13,450 feet. It is endangered and have only been seen a handful of times since its discovery in 1983. This is recently captured footage of an ili pika—a rare sighting. Due to the high altitude, it’s hard for scientists to find and study this animal.
