As the world’s slowest mammal, sloths are unable to respond quickly to danger. The city’s animal rangers took the sloth to vets at Voturuá Ecological Park for a health check.
After two months of parasite and worm treatments, the sloth was released in a remote area of the park. There, she’ll hang in the trees, away from the threat of vehicles.
