The FIA Hill Climb Masters is the great biennial hill climb celebration. It takes place this year in Gubbio (Italy).
It gathers the very best Hill Climb drivers from more than 20 countries: admission to the Masters is subject to the results obtained either in the FIA European Championship (Top 12) and FIA International Cup (Top 12), or in the national (Top 5) or regional (Top 3) championships.
Cars are classified in four different categories and in each Category, the best three drivers will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The individual classification is based on the best time achieved by each driver during a single race heat (out of three race heats).
The FIA Hill Climb Masters also include a Nations Cup, where every national federation can enter four drivers. The principle is to reward the national team that demonstrates that it has the best regularity. The classification calculation index is based on the difference between the times of two races by each of the nominated drivers – and the winning team will be the one that achieves the smallest aggregated time difference between its three best drivers.
