At the end of the LMGTE session the no95 crew were on provisional pole but, after a review of the deleted laps for track limits, the stewards reinstated a deleted lap for the no92 Porsche. This gave Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen an average lap of 1m56.505, which was just enough to give them the edge to claim the LMGTE Pro pole position by 0.016 seconds ahead of Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen.
The LMP1 pole position holders for the 8 Hours of Bahrain was confirmed as the no7 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050-Hybrid, the LMP2 pole by the no22 United Autosports Oreca-Gibson and LMGTE Am by the no98 Aston Martin Racing Vantage.
